"Saturday
Morning 70's"-Larry
with Gregg Rolie of "Santana" & "Journey"
Gregg Rolie is a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer
and founding member of two noteworthy bands in Rock History. In
1966, he and Carlos Santana formed "Santana"
and was the voice on the group's biggest hits from their early years, "Evil
Ways" and "Black Magic Woman,"
before leaving to start "Journey" in 1973.
Gregg gave me some great stories about both bands and their hit
songs! Click here to listen!
"Saturday Morning
70's"-Larry with Gary Wright, "The Dream Weaver"
I
was lucky enough to get an interview with Gary Wright,
probably best known for his 1976 hit single, "Dream Weaver."
Wright, formerly the keyboardist for the late 60's/early 70's
British Progressive Rock group "Spooky Tooth",
also played on George Harrison's landmark LP "All
Things Must Pass." I spoke with Gary about his solo
career and his relationship with the late Beatle. Click

"Saturday
Morning 70's"-Larry with Sonny Bivins of "The Manhattans"
Edward
Jesse "Sonny" Bivins is a founding member of the
R&B group "The Manhattans", who ironically
formed in the early '60's across the Hudson River in New Jersey.
They acheived their greatest success in the 70's & 80's with a
string of 10 Top Ten R&B hits, including their 1976 chart topping
Pop single, "Kiss and Say Goodbye". Sonny
spoke with me about the group's origins and their number one
song. Click here to listen!
"Saturday Morning
70's"-Larry with "The Captain & Tennille"
After a long wait, I finally
landed an interview with Toni Tennille and Daryl Dragon,
a.k.a. "The Captain & Tennille." The
popular 70's husband/wife duo recently came on the show to talk about
all of their hits, including "Love Will Keep Us
Together," "The Way I Want To Touch You," "Shop Around," "Do
That To Me One More Time" and "Muskrat
Love." I also uncovered some little known info behind
their hits. Click

"Saturday
Morning 70's"-Larry with Marshall Thompson of "The Chi-Lites"
Marshall
Thompson is the founding member of the Chicago based R&B
group, "The Chi-Lites". He recently spoke with
me about the group's musical legacy, their former lead singer, the
late Eugene Record and their Number One Pop single, "Oh
Girl." Click here to listen!
"Saturday
Morning 70's"-Larry with Pepe Cardona of "Alive & Kicking"
"Alive
& Kicking" was a band formed in Brooklyn, New York and
discovered by 60's Pop Star, Tommy James of The
Shondells. I've known the group's lead singer, Pepe Cardona
for almost 30 years and was thrilled to have him come on the show to
tell the story behind his group's hit single "Tighter Tighter".

"Saturday Morning
70's"-Larry with Jim Peterik of "The Ides of March"
I recently had the pleasure of
interviewing Jim Peterik, the lead singer for the band "The
Ides of March." While you may not know his name or the name
of his group, you probably know their hit song "Vehicle"
from 1970. The song was recently given a new life, thanks to Bo
Bice and American Idol. BTW,
in the 80's Jim co-wrote all of Survivor's hits, including "The
Search Is Over" and the monster hit "Eye of The
Tiger" (from Rocky III), in addition to "Hold On Loosely"
and "Caught Up In You" for .38 Special!
