Do you have a "list" of songs to choose from?

We do maintain an index of songs in our music library--it's over 2,000 pages, contains over 50,000 song titles, and weighs about 5 pounds! We call it "The Bible," it's kept in our Long Island office, and it is available for clients to review. Unfortunately, we can't send out copies--it's not very cost effective (or environmentally correct!). We had our made our music database available for on-line viewing, but pulled it after two years, because we were getting deluged with requests from people (namely other DJ's!) wanting to "share files" or "copy songs", which was never our intent. That being said, we like to impress upon our clients that we don't "limit" their choices to a "list" of songs to choose from. After all, EVERY PARTY IS DIFFERENT and each person may have a different idea of what songs and types of music they would like to have played at their event. Besides, how many songs and/or types of music would you like us to include on a "list?" What if we didn't include your favorite song or type of music? Does that mean it won't get played? I'm hoping you'll get my point.

Not to sound redundant, but... EVERY PARTY IS DIFFERENT! Our performance isn't a "canned" presentation by any stretch of the imagination! Your input is very important to us! I enjoy meeting the challenge of providing an ever changing musical menu to our clients! To be totally honest, I like the variety and if I had to play the same music and do the same "schtick" every night, I'd have left this business long, long ago!
